Today's Tale
There is always a short story ready to download from the Daily Tale; Welcome to thedailytale.com, a site dedicated to readers and writers of short stories; dedicated to making it easy for writers to be read and for readers to get hold of new free stories. All we ask is that every time a story is read, the reader gives the author feedback and tells everyone else whether they liked it - there's even a voting form attached to every story so that you can see at a glance what other readers thought.
“Faith! He must make his stories shorter or change his comrades once a quarter.” Jonathan Swift.

Submit your story
We are always looking for more contributors; just send us your story using the form here (in MS Word) and we'll put it up. We don't pay contibutors, neither do we make them pay - but if you want to be read (or even discovered!) then The Daily Tale could be the perfect place to start.
The Daily Tale is all about everyone getting the opportunity to get read a new short story every day - for FREE - and being able to download it in the format of their choice.
Every reader gets the opportunity to give feedback - either directly to the author by email, or through the Forum and the voting panels. So make sure you send your best work!
You might not even have written one yet, but if you think you can and want to try it out with people you don't know, then give it a try - you can even send it under a pen-name! Give it a try!
